Pours viscous in the glass, almost the color and weight of Porto. Nose has menthol, cherries, faint barrel funk 👍; Palate has black cherry compote, faint cinnamon, medium+ tannins. Drink future bottles 2032-37, seriously.

After 30 minutes in a decanter it opened wide!! Very balanced with great acid. Paired beautifully with beef carpaccio fontuda.

Wonderfully earthy on the nose and the palette. Lots of tannic structure; still very young but enjoyable nevertheless.

I thought this was outstanding paired with dry aged NY steaks. You get a high alcohol whiff on the nose but the entry is silky and round, great mouthfeel, dark/red fruits burst from the glass. A really impressive Sangiovese.
