A notch below the 09. Nice notes of barrel toast and coffee on the nose. Palette is a little tense as tannins are prominent. Acid is also lively. Needs at least another 3 years to congeal.

Delicious now. Have 2 more bottles and will hold them for a few years.

Ripe, boozy. Expensive.

Tasted next to the 2010, this is finer in structure and more accessible now. Well made and seamless front to back, 2012 was tough for many in Tuscany but this seems to have come through rather unscathed.

Solid. I've had better vintages if this wine. Seems to have all pieces and integration is probably several years away. I'm not crazy about his right now but certainly will improve with age.

Red berries, currant, a little black tea, fine tannins, a little acid

Dried cherries, figs and dark chocolate rounded out with baking spices and cedar. This wine is incredible and a perfect way to enjoy a quiet Eve of Christmas Eve before the family festivities
