Total Wine part?: Needs at least an hour to really burn off the acidic edges & turns nicely energetic, great w stuffed pasta but this has the stuffing to match meat dishes

Eminently drinkable with nicely integrated tannins. Dry with aromas of pencil shavings and ink, it pairs well with food.

Very good. Shows promise for the 2014 brunellos. A nice floral nose followed by cherry and tobacco on the palate. Opened up nicely after a 30 min decant.

If this were a beer it would be a "session" beer. Nice, reasonably priced red wine that goes with anything that most everyone will like. TW $16.99

Drank 2/26/17 with Bucatini Carbonara

Light to medium nose of red cherry and earth. Palate of cherry, aged leather, and some mild spice backed by moderate to firm tannins. Medium + finish. I do not necessarily get "Montalcino" from this wine. Decent, but I would spend an extra few dollars and get a better Rosso or a Chianti Classico.

3/21/7/3/4 + 50 = 88 pts.

Lovely nose, a prelude to the cherry and cranberry fruit that sits just a touch back. Tannins provide some depth and pleasant mineralization.

Great for the price (under $20), this "baby Brunello" hold it's own. I liked it more as the night went on and it continued to airate.

We drank this without food, which might’ve been a mistake. It was a drinkable Sangiovese, but acidity needed some pasta or grilled meat.
