Badet Clément & Co.
Révélation Vin de Pays d'Oc Cabernet Merlot
Nice ruby in color with medium intensity, and a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Fruity nose with cherry juice, plums, vanilla, toasted oak, red candy, light vegetables, chocolates, dust, peppercorn, leather, smoke and spices.
Medium bodied and soft, with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, cherries, black currants, blueberries, wood, light vanilla, tobacco, peppercorn, espresso, chocolates, vegetables, earth and spices.
Nice finish with fine grained tannins, bitter vegetables and tart cranberries.
A nice blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from France. Easy drinking and good for parties, or just by itself.
Nicely balanced with a soft, refreshing mouthfeel, and nice complexity. A little bitter on the ending and will pair nicely with food.
I Paired it with hard cheeses and light appetizers.
Inexpensive, and a great everyday red. Good right out of the bottle but got better as it opened up (60 minutes).
13% alcohol by volume ( that only means I can drink more of it 😃 ...)

A very nice red blend from France. Inexpensive and enjoyable by itself or with food. A Good sipping wine, gentle, with an elegant mouthfeel.
Good pretty much right out of the bottle, and gets better in the glass. Good now, while still young. I liked this vintage better than the previous ones.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot.

Very nice balance of the grapes. Pairs well with grilled chicken and pork.

Oct 30th, 20242014. Nice dark aromas, not easily resolved. It might be worth keeping for another year or two to see if it opens up. For $6, it is quite the value at Trader Joe's.
