Many in the wine world shit on Banfi. This puts me in the weird position of defending them as there are many of their wines that are quite good. However it’s wines like this that made many soms refuse to put any banfi wines on their list. The wine is not bad, tastes like a cheap Chianti. High acid at the beginning but mid pallet and finish are hollow. I’ve tasted the cab on a random sip but it doesn’t really come through. For 8 bucks I think it’s a buy if you like Sangiovese. Would go great with 99 cent frozen pizza or pasta from can... j/k
