Really difficult to score this higher. The wine has developed quite some tertiary notes in the nose.
This is continuously pushing away the nice warm red fruit tones. I will try my last bottle next week as I do not see getting this any better…::.

Fantastic glass of Italian red. Lots of choco, cherry in the mouth. In the nose becoming old.
No need to keep any longer imho.

The sangiovese-merlot Casalferro year 2006 is great and still getting better. This wine is afine remeberance to the Casalferro originale. Dark red, lots of berry and cherry in the nose, balanced on the palate with ripe fruit, some tannines left, lakritz, powerfull but enough Italian acidity to remain elegant.

Nieuw hout, bramen, kersenpitjes, frisse zuren, korrelige tanninestructuur. Jong nog! 17,5/20
