A very easy seamless wine. Great to drink and unwind with friends. Definitely would recommend to all who like a really great Italian chianti.

Vanilla, black tea, blackberries, anise and crushed flowers. Still has a load of structure. Could go a lot longer in the bottle.

A benchmark CC, and a phenomenon described by @Jim Westby, transcending Brunellos when done well. No surprise, it's all Sangiovese (yes, yes, grosso a different clone). Last bottle in a great case that could've held for 10+ years. Licorice, leather and sour cherry in a big, round package.

Feb 7th, 2016Had called this the Dorian Gray of wine, kept getting more tannic and backwards with age...then boom, last night, a beautifully knit and rendered CC. Great aromatics, pipe tobacco, dark cherries. Tastes like a super T, sour cherry core wrapped in cedar, graphite. Loamy earth tones. Baking chocolate. Still has years to go.
