Barra of Mendocino Reserve Zinfandel 2020, California

Dark purple in color with a short purple rim.

Strong fruity nose with red and black fruits, light oak, licorice, chocolates and wild flowers.

Full-bodied and elegant, with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with blueberries, sweet cherries, spices, peppercorn, dark chocolates, coffee, light herbs, earth and light black tea.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a tasty Zinfandel from Mendocino County in California. Showing Nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel. Not 'in your face' kind of Zinfandel.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after 45 minutes of airtime, when tannins come in and bring more structure to the wine.

Nicely balanced and a nice sipping wine. Easy drinking, and a good wine to have by the porch.

Aged for 17 months in (25% New) French Oak barrels. Organic.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$26.
