Blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon & 6% Petit Verdot, BV grapes were first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. Outstanding! Deep dense Ruby with complex berry fruit aromas wrapped in toasty spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet plum with licorice and cacao, adding cedar and tobacco notes. Soft velvet tannins, still young, long finish, well integrated and nicely balanced, a joy to drink. Will age a long time. A Wow factor wine!!

Deep garnet red with ruby core. Tasted blind. Very tight and dark on the nose with dark cocoa, dark spices and soft dark berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Very dark palate as well with black cherries, cassis, black currants, dark cocoa and a little woody. Long and lingering finish. Thought this was a bit older than a 2013 but powerful, needs some time to fully develop. Drink till 2032. (93+)

BV Georges De Latour, private reserve, cabernet sauvignon, 2013. The bouquet is slightly perfume like with violets and lavendar. The initial palate is dark ripe berries and chocolate. The mid palate is full of leather and oak. My fav!!!! The finish is dry and buttery. A great wine. However, DECANT !!!!!
