Benanti
Etna Bianco Carricante
Fond of these wines, although this bottling is becoming rather expensive. Not much complexity.

Aug 13th, 2018Crushes rocks, white peach, green almond, fennel fronds, lemon zest and blossoms. Saline, slight smokiness, very mineral. Can taste the sun but feel the elevation of the vineyard, square and structural, not plush or round or easy to understand. Sang with white pizzas

Jul 13th, 2018Bottle brought back from Sicily. Bit of bitterness hinting lime, lemon zest but also flavours of stone fruits. Flinty mineral reminds the volcanic soil of this region. Short finish, good food wine.
