This is the wine equivalent of the Jurassic Park 3 movie: nice in theory but not in practice. Freisa just isn’t for me. I want this to be Barbera or Brachetto, not their awkward mingling. For me, a disappointing wine from a benchmark producer. I’d rather drink warm cherry Dr Pepper, because that might actually taste better.

Light and fizzy on the tongue with earth and herbal notes that mimic the nose, long lingering tannins. Beautiful chilled!

Funky for sure... smells like laundry past due. Dry and tart. Not horrible.

Reminds me of savage garden’s “I want you”...it’s got that chica cherry cola but a little flat. But you find yourself still listening to it wondering, why!

This wine is like a mullet; serious up front, and party in the back.
The serious side reminds me of a Barbera; dark and red fruits with hints of pepper corn and green herbs. Then BOOM a playful spritz dances on your tongue and lifts the fruit profile to something reminiscent of confectionary cherries.
This wine pairs perfectly with wood-fired takeout pizza and friends who break apart wines as much as yourself!

Some sage and funk on the nose. Flavor is like unsweetened hibiscus tea. Also some mixed cherry. Tart pie and blacks. Bit of cherry Coke. Hint of fizz makes things interesting. Not very complicated but nice enough.
