Tasted next to Stags Leap Investor. Far more new world. New oak, big ripe palate. Firm tannins for structure but huge dark fruit prevalent in the palate. Good, but not totally my style.

Typical Napa valley cab. Nose of tobacco, vanilla, berries, pepper. There’s a nice vegetable component on the palate with big red fruits great tannin and a nice lingering finish. I get more spices and dried fruit toward the end with some wood. It feels pretty integrated now.

Surprised. Slight velvety finish (but not too much,) with boysenberry and hint of leather/earth taste. $59 at Total Wine...which is expensive. Thankfully it was a gift!

Like it. Licorice and cedar nose. Rich black currant fruit. Nice, clean, chewy, earthy finish.
