La Chavaroche Côte-Rôtie Syrah

Replacement btl after the Conterno. Youthful, concentrated that will only get better. This was silky on the palate with lots of dark fruits that had an inky, graphite, pepper & licorice note.

Long decant. Also more time. Fruit and savory

Red fruit, rosehips, dried herbs, smoky mineral finish. A very distinctive wine!

Savory, still fruit forward and young but can see the wild edges.
