It certainly doesn't taste like Nebbiolo from anywhere I've enjoyed. Definitely, not from Italy. It's soft silky blackberries, dark cherries, dark raspberries, followed by a strong taste of smoked BBQ'ed meats. You can also smell it. It reminds me of the Norton grape wine I had from Mz...only better. There is also a strange funky earthiness with gripping minerality on the finish and oddly a Burgundian style to its making. Not surprising as I understand the Winemaker is from there. I can't recommend this wine but it certainly is fun to try and even something there's engaging about it.
