2020 - vintage - Touriga Nacional-35%, Alfrocheiro-35% -Tinta Roriz-30% ( also known as Tempernillo) I have mixed feelings about this wine - very dark color - not a lot of oak aging here with these tannic varieties but the aromas are nice leafy big blackberry fruit , coca powder medium plus tannins , medium acidity ,13 %ABV (seems like I would enjoy this more with extended barrel aging) still for the price point very enjoyable.

Lovely ‘critter label’. Nice color. Ruby with a hint of purple. Fairly savory nose. Smells like raw beef, cut fruit tree branches, fennel & ground fresh pepper. Flavors are tart with hints of unsweetened berries. Elderberry and cranberry. Plenty of lip smacking tannins. This is a well made classic Dão.

Very nice! Bought it when a customer at grocery outlet recommended it to me. Very light color, but good taste. A lot of oak, but nice tannins. Great price at grocery outlet!

Oct 13th, 2024Beautiful wine, very very good for the price! Would buy again. Deep rich color. Smells very grape jelly-ish, but doesn't taste like Welch's! Really nice wine, would definitely recommend it!
