Alliance between 2 wine cultures (French/Argentine), 2 noble grape varieties (Cab Sauv & Malbec), & 2 wine families (Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) & Nicolas Catena). Blend of 60% Malbec & 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in 75% new French oak. Deep Ruby with complex aromas of dark berry fruits, smoky oak and earthy spice. On palate blackberry and cherry, with cedar, nuts and burnt cacao. Developed tannins, well balanced on long finish ending with espresso and mineral tones.

This really does taste like the lovechild of Bordeaux and Mendoza. Elegant, balanced, and big delivery!

Aromas were a hit muted at first but did open up with time. Fruits and acid blended nicely to round out the characteristics. What I really liked was it did have a nice depth of characteristics both fruity and earthy.

Excellent wine, perfectly aged - and a great way to celebrate my boy’s elementary school graduation with his birth year wine. (He didn’t partake, fwiw)

Great marriage between Bordeaux and Mendoza. Earthy with red and black fruit. Great balance.

A big and concentrated 60% Malbec and 40% CS blend that shows its finesse and well rounded characters on the palate. Tobacco, incense, black fruits, earth, spice with abundance but well integrated oak. Long and bright spicy finish.
Caro means expensive in Spanish, but For $50, I would consider this money well spent.

Juicy dark fruits, lush dark berries, blackcurrant leaf, bit of leather, bit of cedar, chewy. Cracking big wine.
