Cool label. Grape cluster print. This is a Monastrell from Yecla. Lighter color, almost translucent. Aromas of citrus (blood orange), raspberry jelly, marjoram, & celery root? Something earthy in the mix. Flavors are more citrus. Oranges (blood and Cara Cara), pink grapefruit, and tangerines. Plus a hint of cherry and pink plum. A bit of blackberry leaf black tea. Plenty of acid snap. Also has tannins. This is a classic food wine. Complementary and bracing enough to meet chopped salads and tomato sauce dishes with a gentle kiss. Lovely stuff.
