Super elegant with a nose of bright red fruits and earth, also on the palate with dried strawberries, raspberry and silky tannins

Youthful and vibrant still. Red cherry jolly ranchers dipped in cedar. Bringing the 🔥! I prefer this to the '01 that I had the other day. @ Pignetti's Restaurant, Temple TX

Holy moly. This is the reason we love wine.

So. Much. Life. After 13 years, still has bright red fruit on the nose. Vanilla, earth, and tobacco give a little backbone to ripe berries. Amazing value!!

94 vintage. What a treat. Ripe black fruit, tobacco, leather and pepper. Incredibly well balanced wine.

I had 3 of these bottles and I've consumed 2 already. Both tasted VERY different! One would be a clear 9.3, the other a 9.0. One was bright and open and with supple red cherry fruit on the nose and palette and not overly oaked. It was beautifully balanced but nothing really stood out and made a clear statement. They other seemed thicker and darker and had that funky barnyard earthiness, but with less fruit on both palette and nose. Kinds strange I thought. The good one I bought at a wine store and the other at HEB, so maybe it was a storage issue that made one seem so different and not for the better.

Quite enjoyable. Dark cherries, tar and cigar box on the nose. A bit of brett but in a good way. Barolo-like on the nose but more medium bodied on the palate. A solid buy!
