Spiced fruit on the nose including stewed peach, baked cherry as well as menthol, licorice, warm cinnamon, and barnyard funk. The palate is delightfully bright and vibrant featuring dark cherry, baked strawberry, cranberry, white pepper, black tea, leather, cigar box, and rhubarb. Medium plus tannins, medium alcohol, and high acid that builds through the finish. I’m left with peach cobbler a al mode, cherry pie, and strawberry shortcake with lingering leather, black tea, and tobacco notes. Excellent bang for the buck.
