Blend of Garnacha, Viura and Tempranillo. This wine deserves huge credit, it's far from the super fruity styles that one can from Spain. Its elegant, lightly red fruited, white peach, red Apple, with a saline mineral note. Lovely delicate white flowers. Fresh, lively and juicy. Very elegant, you could be fooled into thinking this was Provence

Jul 20th, 2015Lovely, lively and oh so drinkable, Muga's Rioja Rosado was a must-buy after tasting their budget-friendly reds. Salmon-hued with notes of watermelon and cherry blossom and interestingly—dried coconut flake and dried pineapple. The 2014 is a blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Viura, and 10% Tempranillo grown in alluvial and calcareous soils. It's medium-bodied and softly textured, and not as lean as Provençal rosés. I do appreciate the touch of chalk and wet stone on the finish. Serve with tuna steaks or with grilled cantaloupe skewers wrapped in prosciutto.

Jul 18th, 2015Blend of red and white that is watermelon colored. Very cherry fruit forward with a coppery mineral note. Medium body (lot of body for a rosé). Very high acid balances fruit. Very good value.

Steal at the price. Provence'y. Rosato. Viura keeps the Grenache linear. Great acid, will hold up to rotisserie and lean meats.
