Founded in 1932 by Isaac Muga Martínez, now run by children Manuel, Isabel & Isaac Muga Caño. Deep Ruby, aromas of sweet red and black fruits with pepper spice and oak. 4 grape blend from the Haro district (70% Tempranillo, rest Garnacha, Mazuelo & Graciano), 36 months in oak, palate shows elegant flavors of cherry and currant with espresso, vanilla & toasty oak tones. Soft full ripe tannins, lively acidity on a long finish ending with an earthy mineral character. Great vintage!

Ambitious and well crafted, combining purity of fruit and silky tannins with prolonged yet integrated oak treatment. Elegant and tasty, yet doesn't really speak of its origin.

Opened this with friends while trying to cook paella for the first time. Took about 2 hours to open up but rewarded with heavy dark stone fruits, tobacco.

With an hour of air, this transformed. Don't get me wrong, it will get better and better with age but right now this fuller bodied wine is big and awesome with red and black cherries, leather and earthiness backed by nice acidity and of course big tannins.
