Raisinated, pleasant nose with some musty intrigue, oak, earthy fruit, and decent acidity. You can tell this was a BIG wine, but with 18 years of age the level of extraction is still harsh, and oaky drying tannins deprive the finish of pleasure. At this point, I don’t think they’re likely to ever resolve.

Ariel brought 2002 magnum. Great red fruit and mild tannins. Delicious.
