Gunflint and cherry give way to black cherry, oak, cedar and plush tannins. But a bit high octane for my tastes.

Intense spice box, shoe polish, leathery nose. Very expressive. Palate is intensely spicy and leathery, red fruits are present but spice box/potpourri dominates. Tannins are moderate plus. Opened with a Coravin, will update with its development.

Young but already very enjoyable at the moment

Sadly oxidized and a pale imitation of what this wine was a couple of years ago

Big and bold, lots of smoke and spice. Overripe fruit and pleasantly chewy tannin. You see why it commands the attention -- and no, it's not just the price tag

Orange rind, Worcestershire, ripe black cherry, blackberry, iodine, full body, vanilla and baking spices. Nice balance

Big black Cherry in Oak. Tannins soft with raisins. Understated winemaker that stands with bigger houses.

Good quality. Advanced fruit which isn’t really my thing.
