A Giacometti sculpture of a wine, seemingly of shape, structure, balance and beauty impossible to describe if not experienced. A superfine beam of black tea tannins infused with strawberry fruit and gentle spice. Layers of compote, orange zest and lively acidity in perfect, stunning balance.

Oct 11th, 2024Vibrant red and black fruit, sandalwood, clove and cigar smoke. Licorice on the palate. Fine and seamlessly integrated. Wonderful.

Mar 21st, 2021WNH event number 4. Perfect Pizza Pairing bottles. Not a bad bottle in the bunch!
In the running for the WOTW (weekend). What a special wine. Black tea, charred raspberries, and cherry tobacco on the nose. A perfectly weighted palate with cardamom and a blueberry sweetness on the finish. Tannic structure is silky and this is just beginning to get started. Wish I could have paid this more attention. Bravo, @Bill Bender .

Nov 10th, 2018Really nice to drink! After the first sip I elected not too decant, it was fairly open and seemed like it was getting mature. That was a mistake as the wine started to really open up with the last sip.
