Deep ruby red, with red berry fruit aromas and floral spice. On the palate sweet strawberry fruit with pepper spice, simple with fine tannins. Medium-bodied with medium length finish ending with spicy notes.

Not as sweet as typical Chiantis, but good. Heavy on the spicy cherry tartness upfront, chocolate finish. Not bad.

Really opened up with oxygen. Started extremely flat (almost boring) and once aerated it became very full-bodied and spicy. Great for an inexpensive chianti with pizza
