Nice balance with palate staining acidity still present after several hours of air.

All that you love in a Burgundy Chardonnay and more... but beginning to show its age. Don't wait any longer if you own some. Lovely now.

Well. So that also happened. Without a shadow of a doubt wine of the evening. Worthy of its reputation from Decanter as a "wine legend". Given the events of recent times perhaps even more interesting.
Ill also confess a soft spot for Charlie. Because hey, why not. Bonneau is probably the best, or at least the most consistent.

Epic wine. Aged notes and aromas in just such precision. Perfect balance, spices, vanilla, apples. Really went on all night. Crazy good.

1990 vintage. At Cabotte in London. Medium golden hue. Wonderful nose of nutty, old oak, and stone fruits. Some oxidation. Slight anti septic aromas, but pleasant. Complex. On the palate, rich and silky, with real body and high concentration of flavour. Good length. Classic. Drink now until 2020+

Ok. Now where talking. Fresh mountain cream and caramel. Camomille, perfectly rounded.
