Brick House
Ribbon Ridge Chardonnay

This is fun and closer to white burgundy than most domestic Chardonnay - 13% alc. - Day 2 it is still opening up. Caramel on the nose with funky hints. Delicate and fresh on entry with a nice tingly acidity.

Nice balance between old world and new.
Not for everyone, but a great way for someone to experience malo without being overwhelmed by it.
Nose holds more buttery aspects than the palate.
Palate shows creamy mouthfeel and finishes with a touch of apple and citrus.

Very temperature dependent and much better on say 2 so far. As its warmed up, the fruit has really begun to emerge. Some tropical notes and the texture and length rally begin to stand out. Quite a compelling bottle, but I think it still needs more time to develop.

Apr 3rd, 2016For an entry level, $30 retail Chardonnay... Damn, that's good. Leaning a little more on the tropical side currently... But still crisp and focused.
