This is an interesting Cali Cab: the red fruit on the nose is potent maraschino cherry with a touch of pomegranate, and the cedar bite is more perfumey, like green pepper potpourri. Acid is nice and crisp, body isn't heavy, and though the tannins are grabby and present, it's not jammy and fruity on the palate, it's bracing and tart. Interesting for its differentness, and definitely a solid buy for ~$15.

Tasty, but over-extracted. Very pure fruit but not subtle.

Inky indigo, the wine has a beautiful nose of cassis and blueberry. Cedar, leather and pipe tobacco play large supporting roles. The fruit is as dark on the palate as it is on the nose. A sense of forest floor comes through as well, darkening things further. Just a shade of graphite shows up. The wine reminds me more of the Rhône than of Bordeaux.

Really great value cab from Paso. Full bodied, smooth, and opens up nicely.

Not bad for a cheap cab. Not sure I would buy another.

Good value cab...well at least for NYC. fairly well balanced. Big dark fruits and easy drinking.

Cellared for two years - came out rich, sweet, earthy, with jammy after taste.
