Bruno Giacosa
Barbaresco Nebbiolo
First time Giacosa - Wow very nice Italian wine, and I'm not an Italian wine guy. Smell; old must / fruit forward. Murky dark brownish. Dry in Italian fashion, but not over tannic for 20 years old. Tart and truly very enjoyable wine via Piemonte Italy.

Oct 17th, 20151996 vintage, I've had for many many years. NYE with my favorite husband (OK, my only one) was the right time to open. Rust colored. Took more than an hour to settle down. Amazing nose! Fruity, earthy & seductive. Tastes of barely sweetened tart cranberries, a little leather, and plenty of wet earth. Very special wine. Wish I had another bottle.
