Really enjoyed this. Very polished and shiny, which Giacosa is sometimes criticized for but it was simply a killer wine. Wore its 15% abv extremely well. Didn’t read hot with lamb ragu. Really pretty red fruits, soft tannins, approachable acidity. A delicious wine at Barbalu.

v18. Well done. Soft tobacco and smoked meat nose. Rich black cherry, and slight tar fruit. Full , slightly tar and astringent mocha finish. Nice food wine.

Garnet in color with a nose of dark fruit & earth. Medium body, very smooth with even tannins and slight acidity at the end. On the drier side with black plum, earth and some oak. Really nice wine!
