WTF Barbaresco, paid C$41 for it, expected nothing near this quality. Asphalt-tar-laden nose bathed in rose-and-tulip florals. Wide beam of tannins. Clean, crisp but smooth and beautifully articulated layers of leather, light asian spice. Class-in-a-glass. Peaked at an hour after decant, sole disappointment was that it started to break down around 4 hrs in. This is ready with decant, but has stuffing for cellar time.
