A $40 Barbera….. but it drinks like a $40 Barbera. Really tasty. Would be a great midweek go to wine when cooking Italian at home. — 2 months ago
Was honestly a bit disappointed this relative to some other wines from him. Ie was excellent out of the bottle but I think it might have gotten over decanted 4 hrs post opening. Surprisingly I liked the 1996 Barolo from him better — 20 days ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of rich berry fruits and floral spice, aged for 14 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, plum and raspberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice, herbs and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with spicy mineral and earthy oak. Nice! — 2 months ago
White citrus in the nose. Burst of flavors on the palate. Green apple, quince, slight smoke, pomelo and under ripe pear. Longish finish — 12 days ago

Good wine for a nice Italian dinner. Pairs well with a variety of food. Not incredible, but not going to break the bank either. — a month ago

Cherries and pomegranate, rose, licorice, star anise, fennel, coffee bean, earth, sweet baking spice. Elegant but with notable power and structure. — a month ago
