Rabajà Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2004

Quite deep ruby garnet core with garnet rim . Aromatic and quite deeply spicy on the nose with liquorice , dried spices , red cherry , red plum , rose . On the palate this is quite intense and tannic, red cherry , red plum , saline with smoky , tobacco , liquorice hints . Firm tannins with fresh acidity , sweet spice and ripe red fruit . Good length , this still is pretty young and needs more time . Better in another 5-10 years and will last well a further 10-15 — 2 days ago

Tart cherry and perhaps strawberry. Some deeper notes, but not too strong. Light color. More fruit on the nose than in the mouth. — a month ago

Mature but still with legs. Earthy, mushrooms, weighty. Solid but a bit underperforming for me. — 3 months ago

Roero Arneis 2023

Really well made, harmonious wine. Balanced and polished nothing really sticks out but at the same time it remains very drinkable. Enjoyed with Vitello tonato in the sun — 10 days ago

Le Rocche del Falletto Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 2014

Spectacular wine. Best to let sit 90+ minutes before drinking. Evolved nicely over several hours. Balance of richness and mature but lively fruit. Will be even better in 3-5 years. — 14 days ago

Vigneto Brich Ronchi Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1997

Opened and decanted two hours prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 1997 “Vigneto Brich Ronchi” pours a deep, hazy garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated black and red fruits: Blackberry, Morello cherry, bruised strawberry, dried roses, tar, leather, potting soil, and subtle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. The finish is long and savory. This is in a lovely spot. Drink now through 2027. — 2 months ago
