Was really looking forward to this 2014 DB4 Red Wine Blend from the Bryant Family. Sadly unable to score due to being Corked (cardboard/wet newspaper). 😢 I even let it set overnight in hopes it would air out, nope. I have a few more and hopefully these will be alright.

2014 Bryant Family DB4
Our New Year wine is 2014 Bryant Family DB4. Thought it would be still young but couldn’t resist. Great concentration. Wow, nice juice. The tannins are soft and round. Enjoyable now, but the wine is still young and needs further aging. Great with meats.
新年最初のワインは、未だ早いかなとは思いつつ2014年Bryant Family DB4を開けてみました。ブライアントファミリーのセカンドワインDB4。素晴らしい凝縮感。タンニンはまろやかで美味しく飲める状態でしたが、まだまだ若く、更に熟成させて飲みたいワイン。肉料理との相性は抜群でした。

Bryant’s second wine - nice deep red fruit and generous body, but the finish was fairly short and somewhat acrid at the end. Good, but not great value.

First DB4 for me and it was really enjoyable. Only decanted for an hour and longer would have definitely helped at this point. Lots of dark fruits with some hints of mint.
