Burgess Cellars
Triere Estate Vineyard Merlot
An outstanding Merlot. Blackberries, chocolate, dried cherries, and hints of tobacco. Great structure, drinking well now, and can easily go another five years.

Dec 26th, 2014Unexpectedly aromatic! This is the first time a merlot has reminded me of chocolate-covered cherries and juicy tree-ripened plums...this is expressive, and still balanced with some tannin and not-too-huge body.
