The last time I was kind of disappointed by this wine. Some could say 'a bottle variation, it happens more often with biodynamic wine making'. Yes, that makes sense, but my bet is on my perception variation. So I took one more bottle. And it was good! Wild strawberry, forest floor and meat notes. Almost perfectly balanced, juicy palate, long aftertaste.

Sep 28th, 2021This Central Otago π³πΏ Pinot Noir offers vibrant red and black fruit notes such as raspberry, black cherry, cranberry, rhubarb, also violet, nutmeg, and black tea.
Itβs well-balanced and elegant, albeit a little shy at first. As it opened up, the fruit rounded out and became more expressive and highly enjoyable. πππ
Vintage 2018. ABV 13.5%.

Sep 27th, 2021Typical and young Pinot Noir from Central Otago. Wild strawberries with forest floor and jammy hints. Taste reveals that Burn Cottage plays with low intervention style, decanting levels it, so don't be afraid. Well balanced, juicy, tannin is still green. Maybe a bottle variation, but somehow it was much simpler than I remember it since my last tasting almost a year ago. Need to give it another try.
