This is Lodi petite Sirah. Screw-top. Deep, dark color. Smells ok. Hints of caramel to go with the berry (blue, black, currant) compote. Flavors are very CA style. The oak, vanilla and candle stuff leads. The fruit comes after. It’s barely salvaged by some other complex elements. Hint of fresh cut wood. Little minerality. But overall this is big, ripe, Lodi fruit bombed red. Hints at the Petite Sirah stuff, but leaves me flat.
