Cain Five Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

Medium to deep mix of ruby and garnet red. Bigger punch on the nose than the 2006. A touch smoky, and dark fruits in the finish. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Palate started off a bit tight but then had some black cherries and woody notes. Great structure and a bit of graphite in the dry long finish. Drink till 2030. (93+)

Love this wine. Blackberries and currants, and a hint of raspberry. Powerful, juicy, and earthy with a fabulous bouquet and a long, satisfying finish. Opened about seven hours before drinking (four with the cork out, three in the decanter).

Very smooth ans drinkable. Not dry like a typical Bordeaux blend. Drank for our first date night out since COVID.

Berry strawberry balanced

Not a pop and pour wine. 2 hour decant minimum. But very worth it. Special place in my heart for Cain. Living up to what I remember.

Almost Syrah-like. Not too dry but very full bodied. Lovely rich red blend. Excellent with red meat or even seafood.

After about 3 hours the tannins showed up a bit more. Not as much as expected. Tobacco spice with a mellow finish
