Purple in color with a purplish rim.
Medium-bodied and unbalanced with medium plus acidity.
Not too intense on nose, with blueberries, cherries, metals, cloves, oak, toast, vanilla, earth, licorice and black pepper.
Dry and Sour on the palate with blackberries, plums, strawberries, cherries, oak, vanilla, earth, cloves and peppercorn.
Tart finish with round tannins and sour cherries.
This is a Nice, earthy Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Still young and unbalanced, but was better with food. An average, Simple Cabernet. I had their Reserva Carmenere, not too long ago, and it was a little better.
Doesn't have enough fruits for the acidity right now, but might be better in a year or so.
I paired it with beef empenadas, at a Cuban restaurant.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
