Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Very much alive and in it’s prime - cherry leather, pipe tobacco, dried herbs. A little fig and fennel. Silky smooth tannins; better the next day!

Excellent, elegant, I would never get tired if this. The love and craftsmanship of this Brunello comes through for me.

This wine had great smoothness to it. Balsamic and savory flavors coupled with some dark cherry fruit flavors.

This wine really hit on all cylinders given the age.

A great vintage

We had this on 4/21-22/19. This was a terrific Brunello with tastes of black cherry, chocolate and leather. The tannins smoothed out nicely. An Old World, medium bodied wine. More fruit forward than most Brunellos. Glad I have more of this.

Beautiful aroma of cherry, spice , leather and smoke. Mouth Filling and coating. Classic brunello proportion with great balance and builds on the palate. Many years left in this wine.

Eucalyptus, anise, burnt sugar/brûlée. Big and bold punch of flavor on the front palate. Bright red cherries, a hint of tobacco box, finishing with plum, bay leaf.

Beautiful wine. Beat the previously reviewed Barolo in a head to head, and I'm generally more partial to Barolo.
