3 hour decant. So delicate, so pure. Big cherry cordial note. Mountain stream, minerals, foliage, light tannin. Burgundian. Beautiful work.

Oh wow. This is amazing. Nose starts out reticent. Some spice, some chestnut. It will come. And it does! A gamey, feral, sweet aromas with saline develops. Wow. But man oh man the palate is just bonkers. Sweet, decadent but fiercely energetic and textured. Amazingly elegant tannins and such purity. OMG. This is sick. The level of refinement combined with the purity is fruit is insane. Perfectly ripened mid season cherries. Wow. Incredible concentration and just perfect ripeness. The fruit is plentiful and prodigious. Amazing length.

After an hour the nose is just killer. Amazing. Stunning smokey cherries. Like a potpourri. What a wine.

Ethereal nose of elite mid season best of the best cherries. Sappy and super floral. Just so elegant, so refined and so beautiful. Heavenly. Gorgeous tar and wet earth. Super elegant and such fine tannins and wonderful sweet/sour/tangy early to mid season cherry fruit. So silky and refined. Terrific freshness and concentration and substantial structure and purity. Long persistent finish and such a lovely pitter patter. A genius wine!

Magnum format, was saving to drink with a good friend who lived around lake Como and introduced me to inferno docg. Look, this was a 9.1 nose, 8.8 palate to be honest. Had nice dried rose petal and light tar, strawberry aroma which intensified after an hour or so, and was delicate and refined; palate never caught up; light bodied with short finish; some shitaki mushroom and just fallen leaves; not much complexity on the palate. Rating inflated as we enjoyed it together with parmigianno, Comte, pecorino. Who cares, memories are a huge part of why I enjoy certain wines.

When you’re handing out candy and chomping hoagies, what could be better than a fall inflected, dusty, Nebbiolo from AR Pe. Pe.
It hits all the corners, old enough but not too old. Firm acids, gentle tannins, reds, browns, seems perfect w the falling leaves. An Italian hoagie to partner, ah yes.
Thanks @ FassSelections

N: Somewhat mute, cherries and tar. Tree bark, underbrush, dirty, with more air, it gives up more.slight menthol.
P: Very delicate, definitely a high altitude Nebbiolo, Orange, tar, delicate spices.
Not a wine to gulp. Quirky and delicious.
Pinot noir fans, ( not the syrup) would like.
W air & time, it grows deeper, and the gentle tannic structure emerges.Nice bitter finish.
Note to self: Next bottle 2hr decant.
