Cantina Ar.Pe.Pe.
Rosso di Valtellina Nebbiolo
This wine is like sending yourself flowers and including a secret admirer card and giggling about it but then realizing maybe you have done some admirable things in the past and maybe, just maybe, you do admire yourself in a secret humble way. š¹š¹š¹

Feels like typical nebbiolo given the color, but this wine gives very little on the palate. Quite muddled with medicinal green tannin notes that overwhelm the strawberry and other fruit notes that should come through.

Jun 10th, 2020Austere and elegant like an old Catholic matriarch. Dry on the palate, with soft aromas of cherry and vanilla. It pops with tart stone fruit up front, and lingers with leather and tobacco and faint baking spice. Pairs excellently with chicken, Parks and Recreation, and popcorn.
