A medium-bodied red wine hailing from Italy, this pepperoni pizza friendly wine has an amazing potential to pair very well with some of the meatiest dishes and various fatty dishes. It has some fruit flavor, slightly elevated levels of tannin and acid. Pronounced flavors include plum, sour cherry, boysenberry, and Italian herbs. I've certainly had better Montepulciano than this one but it's OK for a table wine.

. Found this one on sale for $9.99. Great buy. Slight hit of cherry. Finishes kind of soft. Pleasantly dry.
