Sonoma County Syrah

Fun to taste right after the Jamet Syrah. Sweet, oaky and brawny, but persistent, complex and well-made.

Big boy, fairly woody, very dry

Still a baby. A tasty tasty baby.

Dark fruit aromatics and on palate…tannins well integrated…no noticeable bricking…

Tasting group: Syrah. Jam, candy, blackberry crumble

Office party, unsure of wines so snuck in a stash. Even from a small plastic cup 👎🏻 this wine was fantastic. Massive yet refined and was nicely accessible from the pull. It was tough to keep this a secret.

This is an incredible value. Sad I only get 3 a year!

Wonderful value on this Syrah. Deep, dark flavors of red and blue fruit with enough acidity to give some texture. At this early stage, decant at least 30 minutes to remove some rough edges on the finish.

I just discovered Carlisle about four years ago and it really has become a go-to winery for me. They manage to turn out uniformly good syrahs and zins. This was a powerful Syrah with a nice finish.
