Very dark ruby. Striking color actually. Nose is intense with zingy, just-crushed mixed berries, with nose-tingling acids. A bit of crushed stone. The palate is lively and full of dry berry extract and electric acids. Simple and quite vigorous!

OK, so this is a SECOND bottle of the same wine I opened earlier (only fair since I completely trashed the earlier bottle, which was Drano for my sink!), this bottle is still quite good, but I fear it’s “on the way” to trouble, I have TWO more, gonna open soon, though!!

This shows both VA (volatile acidity, aka nail polish) and is also tending towards vinegar, I’m not sure which is the “best” diagnosis, but either is bad, at this point it’s unfortunately just a drain pour. Hugely disappointing!!

I’m just going to refer to @Tom Casagrande’s note on this wine from 11/23, I also love the zingy fruit and lovely acidity, I really love that WE’RE seeing more Portuguese dry wines these days in the U.S.!!
