Bought a case and probably stored it for too long in my wine locker. The wine seems to be fermenting again in the bottle. Has spritz. Maybe VA. I opened three and it’s all the same. it is not terrible if you like funk and has some nice cherry notes..decant and serving chilled…

Opened this wine first last night for a pizza party at my home. I was able to decant for over an hour since we opted to drink a Pinot Grigio with our first course. The decant time really allowed this wine to open up beautifully. This was another wine that I purchased a couple of years ago at a wine dinner. I had no memory of what it had to offer. The is a solid Sangiovese blend that offers balance and structure. Lovely aromas red fruit, maybe a touch of black fruit, spice with pleasing mouthfeel and finish. For the purchase price it offers great QPR.

Italian for one please! The color is a perfect ruby red. The nose is rustic with leather, oak, dried mushroom and dried red cherries. In the mouth the red fruit dissolve’s quickly then it’s immediately acidic with a strong tannic finish. This is the simple elegance of Sangiovese.

Earthy, barnyard, and red fruit aromas - wild red berries, earthy core and dusty fine tannins - easy drinking blend from a power house Brunello producer

Bright, full bodied yet submissive. Would recommend.

Cherries & licorice on the nose. Licorice, some spices, and really enjoyable grip on the palate. Served with Rigatoni Bolognese. Nice wine.

Black cherry, plum, cracked pepper and black licorice. Hints of expresso. I would imagine the colorino adds dark fruits and depth. Palate echos more dark berry fruits, carried by acidity far more than tannins. Paired with sausage based pasta. Solid, but lacks complexity on the palate.
