Perhaps past its height but still shows a good pedigree. Not a premier vintage either. But shows cherry and berry flavors with a real dry wood barrel influence, dried green herbs, dry tobacco and rocky and chalky mineral impact.

Plum & red berry fruit somewhat muted and still fairly tannic, not as flashy as the 01. Mushroom, sage showing a dry austere finish. Not sure if more time in the cellar would improve the experience.

My last bottle, drinking beautifully, using aerator AND a decanter for 30min. Really opened up after one hour, dark burgundy with brick showing, smell of black berry, black cherry, cinnamon, mocha, and cedar wood. Full body with nice soft tannin, extremely balanced acidity, with a long finish and sweet after taste. Yummy!

My last bottle! Wonderful wine, but time to go. Happy to enjoy at its prime.

Smooth, tertiary flavors evolving, some fruit, earthiness, and respectable grip.
