Is there a better Brunello? Every time I drink a Soldera I am blown away with its perfumed nose, elegant feel & complex notes. The 09 is still youthful but very approachable showing notes of red cherry, strawberry with leather, spice box, balsamic, licorice & rose petal.

May 9th, 2018Joelia, Rotterdam. Yes it is good, yes it is the top of what Sangiovese can produce and is it special, no not really. Great nose, very good acidity, still good fruit, interesting and complex front and mid-palate and then the burn just doesn't come, flat. Too bad, great name, very expensive and not really special. 2009 vintage.
