About as elegant a style of Syrah as you can get. Complex nose has crumbly granite, Szechuan peppercorn, fire-charred beef, boysenberry fruit. Soft and mouthfilling flavors, with a beautiful balance between mineral, savory, and dark but not sweet fruit. Very soft texture and perfectly pitched acids. Terrific.

Saint Jo Syrah - a couple of hours to open, yet when it does, a lot to think about.
Pondering the wine with PAN..
A touch gritty at first, barnyard and Brett. Luckily after some time the Brett blows off, and the fruit and stone come through, lighter side of heavy bodied, with a touch of lush strawberry taffy, then back into the earth, with gravel and popsicle stick, peppery acids.

Very nice! Fruity yet restrained. Long dry finish. Feels lighter than it is at 13% ABV. #garagiste
