Can you believe this is my 5th birthday with @Delectable Wine? Wow! I kept this wine specially for this day. I have been dying to try Caymus wine and so it doesn’t have the label but it is bottled by them. I’m moving up in the world!! It is very delicious but is a little high in alcohol content. I received the beautiful crystal decanter from some friends. I had seen it bought from an auction and it was being sold again and I fell in love with it! Cheers!

Sipping Fine Wine

An offering from the Wagner Family. A Paso Robles Cab, to me a bit disappointing from the Wagner’s. Aromas of simple dark red fruits and some spices. The palate shows over ripe black cherry with big oaky pepper spice. Harsh tannins that stick with you. Medium finish ending hot and spicy. Not that enjoyable. Pass. Tasting Sample. Pricey!

A green, vegetal note on the nose persisted for 30 minutes then disappeared. Evolved into a very nice wine over the course of 2-3 hours.

Great unusual flavors, a nice Wagner wine but definitely not a Caymus. Berries and vanilla are nicely examples. Will definitely recommend and buy again.
