Armada Vineyard Syrah

Second time tasting Cayuse. Red, medium pigment extraction, shedding sediment. Some plum, prune and fermented black bean in nose. The Rocks funk… Cherry flavor, seed bitterness, raspberry and saltiness in aftertaste. Later, black cherry skin and pit flavors emerge.

Acidic and profound white pepper - a different Syrah for me that echoed a bold RRV Pinot if it was blind.

I think there is some fruit under this 2x4.

Bitter, dry, astringent

Needs so much more time. Way to young.

Funk, white pepper, cherry pits, seems like a lighter weight vintage

Loved this. In a good drinking window now.

Last btl of the same vtg I had was singing but this bottle was very reductive and meh
